Masfout

The town

Masfout is known for its fertile farmland and high-quality marble. It sits on higher ground than the coast, so it is cooler, and it lies to the south-east of Ajman on the road to Hatta. Ajman's other inland town is Manama.1,3

Tourism businesses

Masfout competed with 270 villages from 65 countries for the UN Tourism award. Local projects include Go Camp, which grew from mobile caravans into three camps on Jabal Burj Al Boma, a guided hiking team set up in 2023, retreats, cafes and an equestrian centre. The first Masfout X Challenge mountain duathlon drew 203 participants.2

The Taziz Programme supports small and medium-sized businesses owned by Emirati nationals with services and incentives, and has backed several of the Masfout projects.2
