About Al Fanar Restaurant & Cafe

Al Fanar Restaurant & Cafe is a family-run Emirati restaurant group that opened in 2011 to bring back the flavours and atmosphere of the UAE in the 1960s. Its site lists five branches: Dubai Festival City, Al Barsha Pond Park and Al Seef on Dubai Creek in Dubai, Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi and Al Jimi in Al Ain. The interiors recreate the old houses of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with wind towers, carved doors and old photographs. The menu keeps to traditional family recipes such as machboos, rice cooked with loomi and spices, and seafood served on trays for the whole table. The Al Seef branch is part of the MICHELIN Guide's 2026 selection, and each branch takes bookings by phone. When checked in November 2026, these details were taken from the restaurant's own website.
