Japanese School Abu Dhabi (JSAD) was established on 15 April 1978, is affiliated with the Embassy of Japan and has been on its Al Bateen campus since March 2012. It follows the national curriculum of Japan's Ministry of Education (MEXT) across kindergarten, elementary and junior high divisions. The school also accepts non-Japanese pupils, and its figures show 37 UAE nationals among 90 children enrolled.
