From downtown to Saadiyat
The university first taught at an interim campus in downtown Abu Dhabi, opened in December 2009. The first class of 150 students came from nearly 40 countries. Construction of the main campus on Saadiyat Island was completed in April 2014; it includes academic buildings, a library, theatres, sports facilities, laboratories and student and faculty housing.4,5
Degrees
NYU Abu Dhabi combines a liberal arts and science college with graduate programmes and research. With NYU in New York and NYU Shanghai, it is one of NYU's three degree-granting campuses.2,6
Before you rely on a degree
An active institutional licence does not mean every programme is accredited. Check the exact programme in the CAA register before enrolling, or before relying on a degree when hiring.7
