His work
Al Saadi's work draws on the landscape, heritage and his own family, and on journeys through the region where he grew up. In Stone Slippers (2013) he recast the everyday sandal in stone, with drawings of a wanderer's journey; Al Saadi's Diaries (2016) was shown at the 2017 Venice Biennale.1,2
