Average daily trading value on the Dubai Financial Market rose 24.5%, institutions made up 71% of trading, and 72.1% of new investors came from outside the UAE.

The market capitalisation of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) reached AED 993.1 billion at the end of the third quarter of 2026, according to figures presented at a meeting of Dubai's Higher Committee for the Development of the Economic and Financial Sector, chaired by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Media Office said on 8 October.

Average daily trading values rose 24.5% and institutional investors accounted for 71% of total trading value. The exchange added 55,462 new investors in the first nine months of the year, and 72.1% of them were international investors.

The committee also reviewed the wider financial sector. Dubai ranked first for FinTech in the September 2026 Global Financial Centres Index, up from fifth in March, and second for Professional Services. The Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) has licensed 52 virtual asset service providers, with AED 28 billion in assets under management and trading of about AED 7.43 trillion over the past 12 months. The Dubai International Financial Centre has more than 10,000 active registered companies.

Gold was a further topic. Dubai's foreign gold trade was about AED 1 trillion in 2025, up 60%, and the committee discussed a Dubai Gold Strategy with six proposed directions.

The share of international newcomers suggests the DFM is still drawing foreign retail and institutional money despite the regional conflict. Investors following the market can find company announcements and trading rules on the DFM website.
