From Al Mulla Plaza to Knowledge Park
UOWD began in 1993 with eight students, opposite Al Mulla Plaza. It moved to Jumeirah Beach Road in 2000 and later to Dubai Knowledge Park. Its current building there, of about 200,000 square feet, opened in 2020.2,1
Study and quality assurance
Degrees cover ten industry sectors and are awarded from Australia. Students can transfer between the university's four campuses. In Dubai the university is licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and in Australia it is overseen by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).1,3
