Origins and status
The College of Sport Sciences in Kalba was the starting point of the university. Decree-Law No. 4 of 2023 organises it as a non-profit Arab academic institution with financial and administrative independence, owned by the government and based in Kalba, and assigned the University of Sharjah to support its transition.2,3
